Evans Concrete Products Ltd have entered a team into the Legends of Sherwood, 10k night run in aid of the Charity Steps. Steps are a small national charity supporting children and adults affected by a lower limb condition such as clubfoot or a hip condition.

On the 3rd March 2012 a team of 12 will don their headtorches and running gear to cover the 10k (ish)  off road course. The course involves river crossings, interspersed with natural and man made obstacles every kilometre. Competitors must tackle all the forest can throw at them, overcome steep banks, devilish hurdles and the occasional muddy patch.

The project includes a bespoke precast concrete sculpture plinth and bespoke concrete seating which incorporates recessed lettering, acorns and leaves. The conical seat is manufactured in 2 pieces which are connected together using specialist stainless steel fixings. A stainless steel bench is then fixed to the concrete unit to form the seating area.

The seating unit will form the capping of a time capsule which will be buried underneath it.

This project allows us to display our skills in the manufacture of bespoke concrete units.

Evans Concrete Products Ltd have recently been awarded the Precast Concrete Cladding package for the redevelopment of 3&10 Finsbury square in London for Felix UK Ltd who are working for Sir Robert McAlpine.

Casting is due to begin in March 2012 with installation commencing early 2013.

Specialist assemblies are delivered to the factory ready to be cast into units utilising recycled aggregate to meet sustainability requirements.

We are currently installing precast concrete bench units at the new Marks & Spencer’s store at Cheshire Oaks retail park for Simons Construction. The project involves precast concrete bench/planter units which have the M&S logo cast into the rear. We are also providing bespoke architectural stair and cladding units.
